Beaverkill Valley Exploration Camp (“BVEC” or “Beaverkill Camp”) is an immersive day camp opportunity offered by the Beaverkill Mountain Club of Lew Beach, NY to families in the area with children 4 and up.

At Beaverkill Camp, your child will get lessons in swimming, tennis, archery, fly fishing, orienteering, bird and wildlife identification, woodworking, canoeing, and more; will enjoy group games, hiking, campouts, arts & crafts, and theater. With easy access to mountain trails, rivers, ponds, grassy fields, tennis and basketball courts, and a swimming pool, Beaverkill Camp offers each child a world to explore, new skills to learn, challenges to tackle, and lots of new friends to make.

The camp day runs from 9:00 AM - 3:30 PM. Four and five year olds can opt for either the full or the half day program which ends at 1:00PM. Three year olds may join the half day program if accompanied by a caregiver. 

There are also limited spaces for Junior Counselors who are 14 and older, and full counselor employment opportunities for youths who are 16 and older and have the requisite health, safety and lifeguard certificates. Day rate for house guests: For friends and family visiting for less than a week, we offer special day rates of $45 for half-day campers, $65 for full day campers. 

Invoices will be sent starting in April. Payment is due upon receipt and no later than June 15th. This is critical for the staff to know who will be attending camp in any week, and be able to provide the best camp experience for your children. 

Beaverkill Camp has the following cancellation policy:

  • If you cancel prior to May 1, 2026, you will receive a full refund of your payment less a $25 processing fee for each session canceled.

  • If you cancel before June 1, 2026 you will receive a 50% refund less a $25 processing fee for each session canceled.

  • No refunds will be provided if you cancel within seven (7) business days of the camp start date.

  • You may change the weeks for which you registered for no charge, if you do so before June 15th. A $50 late fee will be added for each week changed after the deadline.

PLEASE complete the Registration Form linked here which we have updated to allow you to submit one per family. EMAIL Chris Bitjeman, the camp director, at camp@beaverkillvalleyinn.com if the link doesn’t work. Do not forget to sign the waiver. Once enrolled, you will also be asked to complete a Medical Form and submit current Immunization records & physicals for your campers (look out for these in April).
